Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform through which we offer tickets and products.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or purchasing from our store, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.

You also agree to comply with our applicable policies, including:

  • Refund, Cancellation & Code of Conduct Policy.

  • Privacy Policy.

  • Any specific terms displayed on individual ticket or product pages.

Where a particular event, ticket package or product has additional conditions, these will be communicated before purchase.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not proceed with a purchase.

Nothing within these Terms of Service affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

3. Eligibility and Age Restrictions

The Midnight Assembly is strictly an 18+ event.

All individuals attending the daytime Assembly, Midnight Banquet, Midnight Gathering and associated evening experiences must be aged 18 or over.

By purchasing an event ticket, you confirm that the intended attendee meets this age requirement.

Valid photographic identification may be requested at registration or when accessing age-restricted facilities.

We reserve the right to refuse admission where an attendee cannot establish that they meet the minimum age requirement.

Complimentary companion admission does not override the event's age restriction.

4. Website Use

You agree to use our website lawfully and responsibly.

You must not:

  • Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, systems or customer information.

  • Introduce viruses, malicious software or other harmful material.

  • Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website.

  • Use automated systems to purchase tickets in bulk without authorisation.

  • Impersonate another person or provide deliberately misleading information.

  • Reproduce or commercially exploit website content without permission.

We reserve the right to restrict access to our website where necessary to protect customers, the business or the integrity of our services.

5. Ticket Purchases and Orders

All event tickets must be purchased in advance through our official ticketing platform.

Tickets are subject to availability and are sold according to the capacity and allocation of each ticket category.

The Midnight Assembly currently offers the following ticket categories:

  • Saturday Invitation.

  • Sunday Invitation.

  • General Weekend.

  • Founder's Invitation.

Each ticket grants access only to the event dates, areas and experiences specifically included in the purchased package.

The exact inclusions and price of each ticket are displayed on the relevant product page before purchase.

We reserve the right to limit ticket quantities where reasonably necessary to maintain event capacity, safety or the integrity of ticket allocations.

An order is accepted when we issue confirmation of the successful purchase.

If an order cannot be fulfilled, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund of any payment taken.

6. Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).

Any applicable taxes, mandatory fees and additional charges will be disclosed before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available through our checkout.

Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its supported payment providers.

The Midnight Assembly does not store your full payment card details.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or listing errors. If an error affects an order before acceptance, we will notify you and offer the opportunity to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

Once an order has been accepted, we will honour the agreed price unless otherwise permitted by law or agreed with you.

Any additional purchases made at the event, including refreshments, merchandise or upgrades, are charged separately unless expressly included in your ticket package.

7. Ticket Delivery and Registration

Event tickets are issued digitally to the email address provided during checkout.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your contact information is accurate.

If you do not receive your confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folder before contacting us.

At the event, attendees will be required to complete registration and may be issued an appropriate wristband.

Wristbands must be retained for the duration of the applicable ticket period.

They may be required for access to specific event areas and experiences.

If your wristband is lost or damaged, please speak to a member of event staff. Your booking will be verified before a replacement is issued.

8. Ticket Cancellation, Refunds and Transfers

All ticket purchases are subject to our separate Refund, Cancellation & Code of Conduct Policy.

For The Midnight Assembly taking place on 3–4 April 2027, the final date for submitting a standard refund request is:

13 March 2027 at 11:59 pm UK time.

Requests received after this deadline will not normally be eligible for a refund, except where required by law.

Ticket transfers must be requested and approved by the event team before they take place.

Tickets must not be transferred or resold in breach of the conditions disclosed at purchase.

Please contact hello@themidnightassembly.co.uk for assistance.

Fixed-date event tickets are generally excluded from the standard statutory 14-day cooling-off right applicable to many online purchases.

However, your statutory rights remain unaffected, including applicable rights where an event is cancelled or materially changed.

Full details are available in our Refund, Cancellation & Code of Conduct Policy.

9. Event Changes, Cancellation and Postponement

We aim to deliver The Midnight Assembly as advertised.

However, reasonable changes may occasionally be necessary due to circumstances affecting speakers, contributors, venue arrangements, safety or event operations.

These may include adjustments to:

  • Speaker and panellist line-ups.

  • Presentation times and running order.

  • Entertainment arrangements.

  • Room allocations.

  • Event facilities or operational arrangements.

The withdrawal or replacement of an individual contributor does not automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund where the event remains substantially as advertised.

If the event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed, affected ticket holders will be contacted and offered the appropriate options in accordance with our Refund, Cancellation & Code of Conduct Policy and applicable consumer law.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes using the contact information supplied at purchase.

10. Event Admission and Conduct

The Midnight Assembly is committed to creating an environment in which people with different views can meet, participate and exchange ideas respectfully.

All attendees must comply with our Code of Conduct.

We welcome disagreement, debate and constructive criticism.

However, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, violence and deliberately disruptive behaviour are not permitted.

The event team reserves the right to issue warnings, refuse admission or remove individuals who seriously or repeatedly breach the Code of Conduct.

Where removal is justified by an attendee's misconduct, refunds will not normally be issued.

The founder and organiser retains final authority over disciplinary decisions, subject to applicable law.

Our full disciplinary procedure is explained in our Refund, Cancellation & Code of Conduct Policy.

11. Accessibility and Companion Tickets

We aim to make The Midnight Assembly welcoming and accessible to as many people as reasonably possible.

Complimentary companion tickets are available for attendees who require assistance due to a disability or medical condition.

Supporting documentation may be requested where appropriate to establish eligibility.

Complimentary companion admission is intended to facilitate support for the eligible attendee.

Food, banquet meals and additional experiences are not automatically included and may incur separate charges.

Guests requiring accessibility arrangements or reasonable adjustments should contact:

hello@themidnightassembly.co.uk

Assistance dogs are welcome. Pet dogs are not permitted.

We will consider individual requirements and work with the venue to make reasonable arrangements.

Accessibility-related information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Photography and Recording

Official photography and videography will take place throughout The Midnight Assembly.

Images and footage may be used for event documentation, website content, social media and promotional purposes.

Information about official filming will be provided at the venue.

Guests who have concerns about appearing in promotional material should contact the event team in advance or speak to staff on arrival.

Attendees are welcome to capture and share photographs and videos during permitted event activities and panel discussions, provided they respect the privacy and experience of others.

Recording featured speaker presentations is not permitted without express authorisation.

Unauthorised commercial recording, broadcasting or reproduction of protected event content is prohibited.

Further details are provided in our Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy.

13. Speakers, Contributors and Independent Opinions

The Midnight Assembly exists to encourage discussion across different perspectives.

The views, statements, theories and interpretations expressed by speakers, panellists, exhibitors and other contributors are their own.

Their participation does not mean that The Midnight Assembly endorses every claim, opinion or conclusion they express.

Information shared during presentations and discussions is provided for educational, informational and conversational purposes.

We do not guarantee that any particular paranormal claim, experience or interpretation is accurate or scientifically established.

Attendees are encouraged to approach all material with curiosity and independent judgement.

14. Products and Merchandise

Our online store may also offer physical products, merchandise, publications, commemorative items and other goods.

Product descriptions, specifications and prices will be displayed on the relevant product pages.

We aim to ensure that all product information is accurate.

However, minor variations in colour, appearance or packaging may occur where appropriate and do not affect your statutory rights.

Where physical goods are sold separately, the applicable delivery, cancellation and returns arrangements will be communicated before purchase.

Physical merchandise may carry different statutory cancellation and return rights from fixed-date event tickets.

Goods supplied must meet the requirements of applicable consumer law, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits those rights.

15. Third-Party Vendors and Services

The Midnight Assembly may feature independent exhibitors, vendors, sponsors and commercial partners.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these businesses operate independently from The Midnight Assembly.

Purchases made directly from independent vendors are transactions between the customer and the relevant vendor.

Any associated refund, warranty or product issue should ordinarily be addressed with the business responsible for that sale.

The Midnight Assembly does not automatically endorse the products, services or paranormal claims made by exhibitors or sponsors.

This does not affect any legal responsibility that The Midnight Assembly may have in relation to its own activities or representations.

16. Intellectual Property

The Midnight Assembly name, branding, logos, artwork, website design, written material and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless otherwise stated, these materials belong to The Midnight Assembly or are used with appropriate permission.

You may access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify or commercially exploit our original content without prior written authorisation.

This includes unauthorised use of our branding, promotional artwork, event recordings and other protected material.

Nothing in these terms prevents lawful personal use, legitimate commentary or other uses permitted by law.

17. Privacy and Personal Information

We collect and process personal information where necessary to operate our website, process purchases, administer tickets and deliver our events.

This may include:

  • Names and contact information.

  • Booking and transaction details.

  • Ticket and registration information.

  • Accessibility and dietary requirements where voluntarily provided.

  • Customer enquiries and communications.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

Sensitive information relating to accessibility or medical requirements will only be collected where necessary and handled with appropriate care.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored and shared, including the involvement of Shopify and other relevant service providers.

Marketing communications will be sent in accordance with applicable consent and marketing requirements.

18. Website Availability and Third-Party Links

We aim to keep our website available and operating correctly.

However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.

Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, hosting problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Our website may contain links to external websites operated by third parties.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or independent privacy practices of those external websites.

Where an external service is used to process an order or provide part of our services, any applicable additional terms will be identified where appropriate.

19. Liability

The Midnight Assembly will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing its services.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Breach of statutory consumer rights.

  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Subject to those protections, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We are not generally responsible for independently arranged travel, accommodation or other personal expenses arising from an attendee's inability to attend, subject to applicable legal rights and the circumstances of the loss.

Customers remain responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings.

Nothing in this section affects any legal duty owed by The Midnight Assembly or the venue.

20. Circumstances Outside Our Reasonable Control

Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to deliver an event or fulfil an order.

Examples may include severe weather, major transport disruption, venue closure, public health restrictions, emergencies or other significant unforeseen events.

Where such circumstances arise, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate relevant information to affected customers.

If an event cannot proceed, cancellation and refund arrangements will be handled in accordance with our Refund, Cancellation & Code of Conduct Policy and applicable law.

This section does not remove any statutory rights or automatically prevent refunds.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, legal obligations or website services.

Updated terms will be published on our website with a revised date.

Changes will apply prospectively and will not retrospectively remove contractual rights already acquired by customers.

Where a material change affects an existing booking, we will communicate it where appropriate.

We recommend reviewing these terms before making a purchase.

22. Complaints and Customer Support

If you have a question, complaint or concern regarding our website, ticketing or event services, please contact:

hello@themidnightassembly.co.uk

Please include your full name, booking reference where applicable and a clear explanation of your enquiry.

We will aim to acknowledge enquiries within a reasonable timeframe and resolve issues fairly.

Concerns relating to behaviour during the event may also be raised directly with the event organiser or event staff.

23. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these terms will be subject to the applicable jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory legal rights available to consumers.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
